a free gift for YOU: Tidbit Tuesday

Remember that "love-filled, joyful surprise" I promised on Saturday?

It's here, it's here, it's here!

Pardon me while I dance around like a fool. I am so excited and proud and . . . ummm, tired. I've been working nonstop on this super-secret project. Frustration. Exploration. Accomplishment. It's been a rollercoaster--but oh boy, do I love where the ride brought me.

Today I'm releasing my very first eBook. And it's free.

Yep! That's right! Eighteen pages of my photography, artwork, and handwritten love--from me, to you. All you gotta do is sign up for my mailing list so we can stay in touch. (For instance, you'll be the first to know when I release my upcoming online magazine, Sprout.) No worries if you don't have an e-reader; for this kind of eBook, you'll just need your computer and Adobe Reader (a free program most people already have). You can view right on your screen and even print out a copy (or several).

Today I Will: free eBook

Move over, to-do lists . . . it's time to make room for joy.

"Today I Will" is a brand new Persistent Green publication, created 'cause I'm grateful for you and want to send a little joy your way. This eBook is short on words and long on beauty, designed to help us remember to make room in our lives for what matters most.

Oh, my dear Amanda--what a gift YOU are to this world! I've already downloaded and printed out my "Today I will . . ." I'm gonna slip the pages into a frame on my refrigerator and change out the front page every so often.

I am soooooooooooo proud of the work you are doing. I can tell that a lot of your art work is self-expression. But you also have such a heart for sharing with others, and I am so blessed by what you share.

The quote on your post today made happy tears squirt from my eyes--joy IS the lesson!!

Your precious gift has been eagerly received, downloaded, and read! Thanks for your generosity!

An act of joy I have been doing this summer is "stopping to smell the flowers"...literally. My mom's favorite flower was the gardenia. My sister and I used to save our money to buy her a gardenia corsage for Mother's Day. I carried gardenias when I married, and of course, Mom had a gardenia corsage.

Anyway, I have been walking most mornings. My route is a large square around my neighborhood. On the almost last leg of my route live 2 gardenia bushes. Every day, I stop, bend over, and smell the gardenias as I think about Mom.

Who cares that I am hot and sticky and not too attractive when bent over! Who cares if the people driving by wonder what I am doing!

Thanks, Amanda, for encouraging all of us to have our joy moments!

PS Thanks also for the constant reminders to have a gratitude attitude. That was really helpful to me today when i was tempted to become grumpy. Move out grumpiness---move in gratitude!
